Moroccan Tea & Hospitality (2 hours)
Short description
Discover the rituals of Moroccan mint tea and the traditions that turn welcoming a guest into an art of hospitality.
What you’ll experience
In Morocco, offering tea is one of the simplest and most meaningful expressions of welcome.
This Atelier explores both the preparation of Moroccan mint tea and the wider traditions of hospitality that surround it. Oumi introduces participants to the ingredients, techniques, serving rituals, and gestures that transform tea into a shared experience.
Participants will also discover how pastries, presentation, conversation, and the rhythm of receiving guests contribute to the warmth of a Moroccan table.
This session is as much about hospitality as it is about tea — an invitation to understand how food, drink, and generosity come together.
You may explore:
- Preparing traditional Moroccan mint tea
- Choosing and balancing tea, mint, sugar, and water
- The traditional teapot and tea glasses
- Pouring and serving customs
- Moroccan pastries and accompaniments
- Welcoming guests and setting the table
- The role of tea in everyday Moroccan hospitality
